int CBCGPEditMarker::m_nLine

Specifies the zero-based line number.

The markers are line-based, all marker-related operations are using line numbers. It's possible, that future releases of the library will implement offset-based markers.

The line number can be updated by the framework when the text is deleted from the edit control.
